GENERAL
The Supermarine Swordfish 42 is supplied with CE certification and is built to EU specification and conforms to RCD 2 design category B. The hull is guaranteed against osmosis for 5 years from the date of manufacture.
CONSTRUCTION
Isophthalic resin hull laminate system with stitched multi-axial reinforcements for superior osmosis resistance. Solid single skin bottom shell and close cell foam topsides and deck, supported by longitudinal stiffeners and transverse frames and bulkheads. The deck is bonded and mechanically fixed to the hull through the entire length of the hull resulting in a strong and integrated unit.

All custom deck fittings are made of high quality 316 stainless steel
All deck areas are non-slip formed, and there is a sun-bathing section ahead of the windscreen. An electric anchor winch is recessed below the foredeck and the stainless steel anchor self stows on the bow.

HELM CONSOLE
The purpose designed wrap-around windscreen, has a fabricated stainless steel framework surrounding heavy duty tinted polycarbonate glass, with a recess for the three section canopy and tonneau cover.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT
The propulsion machinery is twin six-cylinder Volvo Penta D6- 440 turbo-charged diesel engines driving through DPI stern drive legs. Aerodynamically shaped intake cowls feed air supply to the engine room, turbo chargers, battery housing, interior ventilation and air conditioning (if installed). Extractor fans exhaust air aft of the cowls. The engine hatch lifts to provide access to sea-water inlets as well as the engine room, which is heavily soundproofed against noise and fumes.

The layout is in accordance with the general arrangement drawing, proving 3 berths, two in the forward cabin, one in the saloon.
INTERNAL JOINERY & UPHOLSTERY
Interior joinery can be finished in a choice of high quality coloured laquers on marine faced quality plywood as standard. Linings are fabric covered plywood or GRP as appropriate. Cabin soles are non-slip laminate and carpet. The choice of upholstery is selected from Supermarine’s fabric range in either quality leather or Alcantara.
