TIMELESS CLASSIC DESIGN

Two designers of outstanding calibre and achievement have contributed to the Swordfish.
For the hull lines, engineering and propeller, Alan Burnard, formerly chief designer of Fairey Marine, was commissioned.

The Supermarine Swordfish 36’s are ‘hand built’ using time served skills coupled with the latest technologies, at Northshore Shipyard’s boat building facility in Chichester Harbour on the South Coast of England.  Each Swordfish is laminated from glass reinforced plastic, formed in a series of moulds using the latest design engineering, materials and resins, to add strength and save weight. The end result is a product that is incredibly solid, yet lightweight, beyond the high standards of Lloyds of London and similar to that now adopted by lifeboat and fast military patrol craft.

Using today's advanced technology, the hull structure of the Supermarine Swordfish has been engineered by High Modulus along with other refinements including shallower prop-shaft angles. Combined with her soft-ride deep v hull and flared top sides, this motor yacht offers exceptional sea-going comfort and performance.

New exterior styling of the Swordfish 36 has been designed by Ken Freivokh and the original founder of Supermarine Motor Yachts, David Skellon with bold, striking lines, colour co-ordinated capping rail and re-designed stainless steel air intakes. This new version offers an attractive alternative to the timeless 'Classic' model.

MARTIME CAPABILITY

The perfect driving position has good visibility and protection from the aerodynamically shaped windscreen which deflects wind and weather.

The airline-type instrument console provides the driver with 'one glance' information from its comprehensive array. Comfortable high backed seats are perfectly sited at screen-deflection height, so that even in heavy weather, guests in the cockpit will always feel safe and secure.

The optional unique radar arch, designed by Ken Freivokh enhances the exterior styling of the motor yacht whilst providing useful hand holds both from the sidedecks and from within the cockpit, plus stowage for bimini and camper tops. A large working foredeck and wide sidedecks with timber rubbing strake and bow rail offer safety at sea.

The gracefully sculptured stern, blended exhaust pods and stepped outboard, leave noise and fumes far behind - not on the transom. The twin Yanmar 440hp diesel engine option is geared through ZF 2 speed gear boxes, to give good manoeuvrability when docking and arrow flight stability at speed.

BUILT TO YOUR OWN SPECIFICATION

When choosing the unique specification of your Swordfish 36, you will be able to specify from an extensive list of options, letting you create a motor yacht that fulfils your every need. The initial choice is between the Grand Tourer, a centre cockpit version with a luxurious owners aft cabin, or the Monaco with a bigger open cockpit, ideal for sunnier climes.

Air conditioning, passerelle and bimini top options are available for Mediterranean cruising.

Exterior hull bands and colours, cockpit upholstery, interior wood finishes, upholstery types and colours, carpet colours or flooring finishes, even possible engine choices can all be configured to build the motor yacht of your dreams.

DESIGNERS OF PEDIGREE

Two designers of outstanding calibre and achievement have contributed to the Swordfish. For the hull lines, engineering and propeller, Alan Burnard, formerly chief designer of Fairey Marine, was commissioned.

His experience in offshore racing and in military patrol craft development contributed to the durability and sea keeping qualities of the successful Huntsman, Swordsman and Spearfish motor yachts.

The original styling has been enhanced by unique radar arch, designed by Ken Freivokh, which compliments her distinctive lines.

A contemporary interior, styled again by Ken Freivokh, maximises the use of all workable space, and creates a sense of refinement and sophistication within her open plan layout.
