DEVELOPMENT & PRODUCTION STAGES

We are delighted to show the development of the new Supermarine Spearfish 32

With its proven pedigree hull, designed by Alan Burnard, this exciting new model will embrace classic features of the Supermarine Swordfish and capture the sea keeping qualities and high performance of the original Fairey Marine Spearfish.

HULL MOULDING

The vinylester resin hull laminate system incorporates stitched multi-axial reinforcements for superior osmosis resistance. The sandwich ‘closed cell foam’ hull bottom is supported by longitudinal and transverse stringers and frames.  The composite materials are engineered to produce maximum strength and durability with minimum weight for high performance.

The main structural bulkheads are vinylester, resin infused for a strong and lightweight construction. Once dry fitted, they are glass fibre bonded into the hull to form an integral part of the structure.

NEW DECK STYLING

THE DECK PLUG HAS BEEN 5 AXIS CNC MILLED FOR TOTAL PRECISION

Using the latest design software, computerised drawings command the milling machines to sculpture the complex design details of the new deck styling with complete accuracy. The new deck plug has now been finished and faired, lacquered and polished, in preparation to start moulding.

This will then form the tooling for the lamination of the GRP deck.

SPEARFISH 32 DECK MOULD

The new deck mould has been released from its tooling and will form the new tooling for the lamination of the GRP deck.

SPEARFISH 32  FIT OUT

The first Supermarine Spearfish 32 is in its fit out stage with engineering and electrical systems, plumbing, tankage and joinery being fitted. The tooling for the bathing platform is formed around the stern.

Our in-house design team have incorporated some truly unique details and classic finishing touches to complement the elegant exterior styling.
