As the Supermarine Spearfish 32, Hull no #001 nears its build completion, it was launched for the first time into Chichester Harbour at Northshore Shipyard. The build and design teams carried out validation checks to establish the true longitudinal and transversals trim and role of this modern classic power boat.
Mass compensation was made with lead weights for the large components such as windscreen, radar arch and cabin hatch which are scheduled into the next phase of production, and due to be fitted shortly.
The build and design teams were delighted with the results, which confirmed the exact standards of the computer modelled predictions were met with complete accuracy.
